Every day, over 1 million trees are cut down to make traditional toilet paper. We’re not so keen on killing trees just to make TP, which is why these rolls are made with 100% bamboo fibers.

A lot of people don’t realize that bamboo is a grass, not a tree. It grows incredibly quickly, making it a sustainable source for loo rolls. You can wipe easily knowing that you’re helping to reduce deforestation one flush at a time.

Although countries have different paper towel sizes, our 22cm (8.7") x 22.5cm (8.9") sheets are the largest on the Canadian market. This makes our paper towel rolls ideal for covering large surfaces when you use them.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Bamboo grows much faster than trees (5-6 years vs. 20-30 years), making it a renewable, environmentally friendly resource. Moreover, bamboo towel paper is hypoallergenic, softer and more strong.

Absolutely, under certain conditions. Mix it with other organic waste and maintain a good wet/dry balance in your composter. However, avoid using paper that is soiled with chemicals.

We must protect our rolls from moisture, dust, and environmental microbes, so each toilet paper and paper towel must be wrapped in fine paper. We think this is better than plastic for several reasons:

    • Plastic-free option: We chose paper over plastic film because we feel it's a more environmentally friendly alternative.
    • Moderate impact: Individual packaging only increases the total amount of paper we use by around 1%, as we have reduced the width of our rolls by 5 mm.
    • Decorative and reusable: Our packaging is attractive, reusable (for DIY projects), and recyclable. It is a change from other papers' classic, monotonous, bland packaging. It brings life to your kitchen and toilet.

We believe that the energy invested in packaging is far outweighed by the visibility and protection it provides.

2-ply corresponds to two layers of paper,
while 3-ply has three. The 3-ply is thicker and more resistant, but both are high quality.

We mainly use sea freight to transport our containers to the ports of entry in Vancouver. From there, they are transported by rail to our Canadian warehouse. Sea freight produces fewer GHGs, helping us minimize our carbon footprint.
